Privacy

Protecting your data matters to us. MapKeeps is deliberately data-minimal: children can use the site
without us collecting any personal data from them.

1. Controller — KJION Technology GmbH, Ruthgasse 21, 1190 Vienna, hello@mapkeeps.com.

2. Using the website/app
- Server logs: our host (Cloudflare, see 4) processes technically necessary data (e.g. IP, time,
page requested) to deliver the site securely. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Local progress (localStorage): game and collection progress is stored **only in your browser and
never sent to us** — it does not leave your device.
- No tracking cookies, no profiling, no advertising, no analytics. Storage is purely functional.
(If we ever add analytics, we will ask your consent first.)

3. Newsletter & prize draw (adults only) — If you sign up, we process your email (and name) on
the basis of your consent (Art 6(1)(a) GDPR) via double opt-in. Provider: Mailchimp (Intuit Inc., USA) – transfers safeguarded by EU Standard Contractual Clauses.. You
can withdraw anytime via the unsubscribe link or hello@mapkeeps.com.

4. Recipients / processors — Hosting: Cloudflare, Inc.; email: Mailchimp (Intuit Inc., USA) – transfers safeguarded by EU Standard Contractual Clauses.. Transfers to
third countries (e.g. USA) are safeguarded by EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. Children — We do not knowingly process personal data of children under 14. Newsletter and prize
draw are for adults only.

6. Retention — only as long as needed for the purpose or required by law.

7. Your rights — access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and
